Nose Hump Condition

Nose Hump
A hump on the nose (‘dorsal hump’) is often genetic, but may also form as a result of trauma to the nose. When the hump is in the upper region of the nose, it is likely made of bone, when it is lower down, it more likely consists of cartilage. This can be treated surgically (rhinoplasty) or non-surgically using dermal filler. Dermal filler can also be used to correct the appearance of a drooping nasal tip, or asymmetrical or wide-looking nose. The principle of dermal filler nose correction is to change the proportions and definition of the nose in order for it appear straighter, narrower and more lifted.
