Botulinum toxin, commonly known as ‘Botox’, has been used in medical treatments for over 4 decades and was first approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of wrinkles in 1989. Botulinum toxin is used to treat dynamic wrinkles that are caused by muscle movement e.g. frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet.

It is now one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the world and works by temporarily blocking the connection between nerves and muscles. This enables muscles to stay relaxed and the overlying skin to smooth out, thus softening any visible wrinkles.

Biorevitalisation is the injection of light hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants under the skin surface to rehydrate, brighten and smooth the skin. When treating wrinkles, small droplets of biorevitalisation liquid are injected into the skin. These droplets gradually diffuse throughout the upper layers of the skin, plumping the creases, delivering nutrients to the cells and improving skin microcirculation.
